The Necrobiome Series at X’Roid Art Expo 2024
Upon my arrival at the X’Roid International Instant Art Expo 2024 in Bonn, I was immediately struck by the vibrant energy. This event held a special place in my heart, as it marked my debut as an exhibitor outside of academia. I felt an immense sense of accomplishment seeing my work on display.
This journey was not merely geographical but also encompassed significant personal and professional development as a graduating student continuing my academic journey. Attending a renowned art expo solo was a little intimidating, but ultimately, it was worthwhile. It provided me with a unique opportunity to delve into a niche creative sector.
The expo was a showcase of a broad variety of work, featuring the talents of artists including Martina Pavloska, notion, Joann Edmonds, Ngoc Phuong Ong, and Anne Kelter. Every artist in their unique manner brought their individual flair and personal style to the instant format. Obviously choosing a favourite among such an array of intriguing works proved to be a challenge.
While at the expo, I had the opportunity to engage with a few fellow artists and art enthusiasts. These conversations about differing techniques and styles, and the myriad ways art can articulate and stimulate emotions, proved educational. The other exhibits also served as sources of inspiration and insight.
Reflecting on this experience, underscored the fascinating aspect of sharing one’s art with the world. It is a personal expression, a story woven from individual experiences and creative endeavours. I am deeply satisfied with this milestone and eagerly anticipate future prospects.
